CCCCIO/CCSICC is an organization established to further the goals and objectives of Canadian College CIO’s, IT directors and managers of each member institution. The council provides a national perspective for its members while also supporting local and regional activities.
The mission of the council is to provide support for its members and to provide a forum for the discussion and presentation of IT issues on a national basis.
In order to accomplish its mission. the CCCCIO has the following mandate:
- Plan and coordinate national and regional meetings
- Provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, best practices and technologies
- Document, communicate and track projects, proposals and action items of the membership
- Maintain association communication vehicles to facilitate communication within the membership and to external groups
- Plan and support national conferences
- Manage the business affairs of the association (e.g. finances, secretarial)
- Develop sponsorship and partnership programs
- Recruit and track memberships
- Provide a forum for the ongoing exchange of information, knowledge and experience in a direct and cooperative manner amongst all participating institutions.
- Plan, coordinate and sustain IT collaboration across Canadian college institutions
- Present Canadian College IT issues in external relations to goverments, peer organizations, and other related platforms
- Investigate and oversee the implementation of integrated or shared studies, facilities, programs and services
- Plan and enable peer networking at all levels and accross all skill sets of IT organizations
- Facilitate staff professional development
